Vishnu Vishal recently started a discussion in the film industry by saying that “actors should take less salary”.
His latest film Aryan, directed by Praveen, which he also produced and acted in, got mixed reviews but performed well at the box office. The film turned profitable with OTT and TV rights sales.
At a Thanksgiving event for the press, Vishnu said he always gets involved in his films and believes success depends not only on the director but also on the actor’s responsibility.
He explained that since the audience comes to see the actor he often suggests story changes when needed. When asked about advice for producers he said that actors should take smaller paychecks so producers can invest more in the story instead of facing financial problem.
His words have sparked a debate, some praised his honesty while others criticized.
RashmikaMandanna #DheekshithShetty #AnuEmmanuel #AlluAravind #RahulRavindran… pic.twitter.com/cONqvuovVb— Filmy Focus (@FilmyFocus) November 5, 2025
