Fursat, a 30-minute short film by critically acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj, has recently been released on YouTube and Apple.com.

The video was entirely shot on Apple’s newest top smartphone, the iPhone 14 Pro, according to a deal the company struck with the director. Ishaan Khatter and Wamiqa Gabbi both appear in the movie.

A traditional film camera comes with 10 people, 3 attendants, and 10 boxes of lenses; you can’t move around. Vishal Bhardwaj seems optimistic about keeping up with the times and shooting on an iPhone.

Quickness is impossible. In that sense, the iPhone liberated me. I’ve never had a film with this kind of scale before. And this can help you understand the scope of what iPhone is capable of. “Vishal sir was enjoying himself; he was like a youngster on the sets with his iPhone,” Ishaan Khatter said. On the movie’s set, which used an iPhone camera, we all had a good time.

Fursat is a Bollywood-style musical that celebrates the power of love and was entirely filmed on an iPhone 14 Pro. The film has all the elements of popular cinema, including songs and choreographed dances, which are essential to Bollywood, packaged together on a scale never seen before for a non-commercial production.

It is directed by award-winning Bollywood director Vishal Bhardwaj and supported by a cast and crew of celebrated Bollywood personalities. The movie features scenes that were filmed in a desert, under water, on a train, and in a variety of other places, including a dance studio and a hospital.

Bhardwaj said, “Action mode was the biggest surprise for me. I shot the action scenes in the iPhone 14 Pro without a gimbal. We’ve covered a lot of ground in Fursat’s Action mode. The raw footage presents such a startling and unsettling visual. It’s incredibly smooth in Action mode. To believe it, you must see it. “I think Action mode is the most amazing update,” said Swapnil Sonawane, Fursat’s director of photography. Without an external gimbal, one can obtain extremely steady shots by holding the camera in their hand and running while intently focusing on the actor.

Today, Fursat was released on YouTube and apple.com.
