Vinod Khanna is no more!

Vinod Khanna, the legendary actor of Hindi Cinema, for few days has been battling cancer and he died on 27th April 2017 at Sri H.N Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research centre, Girgaon, Mumbai. The actor is aged 70 and there are reports about his deteriorating health and his family members did not disclose much information about his health condition. The actor is succeeded by his wife Kavitha and children, Akshay Khanna, Sakshi Khanna, Rahul Khanna and Shradda Khanna.

The actor started his career in 1970’s and with movies like Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mere Desh, Gaddaar, Imtihaan and many more movies. He is known for his action thrillers and handsome looks during his prime. In films like Amar Akbar Anthony, he acted with Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor. He debuted in 1968 and during the initial years he played the second lead and negative roles. His role as lead in Mere Apne gave him great recognition and he became one of the most sought after actors in Hindi Cinema.

The actor created a sensation in 1982 by quitting acting to follow his guru Osho Rajneesh for the period of 5 years. He came back into acting with movies like Insaaf and Satyameva Jayathe. Both announced his comeback in a grand way and for the latest generation, he acted in the blockbuster, Dabangg as Salman Khan’s father. Many hindi celebrities expressed their shock and condolences to his family members.
