VV Vinayak is a busy high profile director who has one or the other film, under his belt. He made huge commercial hits and equally underwhelming duds. But many heroes believe in his conviction to entertain audience at the box office in a big way.He made a grand debut into the arena, with Aadi establishing himself and Jr. NTR as commercial viable talent. Then he got a call from Balakrishna, but he was able to deliver the same level output with his Chennakesava Reddy. His quickly turned that disappointment into a big hit, with Nithiin starrer, Dil. After Dil, he gave big hit with Megastar Chiranjeevi, Tagore and continued success with Bunny, Sambha but delivered a big dud with Prabhas, Yogi. He gave Venkatesh’s career biggest hit, Lakshmi and with Yogi’s disappointment changed his route from high action potboilers to comedy action films.
His decision to change worked big time with Ravi Teja’s Krishna and NTR’s Adhurs. Since then he sticked to the same formula and made Nayak with Ram Charan, Alludu Seenu introducing Bellamkonda Srinivas and Akhil, introducing Akhil Akkineni. Both, Akhil and Alludu Seenu are regarded as big duds with Akhil only being able to pull openings for three days. He still was the first choice, when Chiranjeevi decided to go ahead with a remake for his prestigious 150th film. Tagore was also a remake directed by Murugadoss, Ramana and Khaidi No.150 is also a remake of Kaththi directed by Murugadoss.
Gopichand, an actor who has a good following among mass audience with his action films, he has been looking for some big break that puts him well among the box office big league. He is planning his career in the right direction. Once he completes his movie with Sampath Nandi, he is all set to play the lead in a VV Vinayak movie. The movie will be produced by Ravinder Reddy, the producer of Sahasam Sawasaga Saagipo.
