The actor Vikrant Massey will work with upcoming director Niranjan Iyengar on a movie about the life of well-known author Ruskin Bond.
In addition to playing the lead in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next film “12th Fail,” he will make his directorial debut with Niranjan Iyengar in this intriguing tale of Ruskin Bond.
The Room on the Roof, Ruskin Bond’s debut book, was released in 1956 and was awarded the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 1957. Bond has written more than 500 essays, short tales, and novels, including 69 for children.
The Sahitya Akademi Award was given to him in 1992 for “Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra.” In 1999 and 2014, he received the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, respectively. He resides in Landour, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, with his adopted family.
With his performance as Aamir Hassan in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, Vikrant made his acting debut. He went on to become well-known for his parts in Dharam Veer, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, and Qubool Hai.
