The Supreme Court of India has granted regular bail to filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari Bhatt in a fraud case filed by the Rajasthan Police.
This decision gives the couple temporary relief in the ongoing legal issue.
The case is related to allegations of large scale diversion and misuse of funds. Based on these claims the Rajasthan Police registered a fraud case against them.
According to reports the couple approached the Supreme Court seeking protection from arrest and challenged the legal proceedings.
While the court has now granted them bail but the main case is still pending. The detailed arguments and final judgment are yet to take place so the legal battle is not over.
