Vijay’s Sarkar continues it’s promising run

Sarkar, the big festival film starring Vijay in the lead role, released on 6th November. The movie got a very mixed reviews and talk. Many deemed that the second half is completely outlandish and funny.

But the audience have decided to watch the film, in the festival holidays as the other releases couldn’t even make sure that they are present in comparison with the film, at the box office.

Sarkar rights were bought for Rs. 7.5 crores in Telugu states and the movie collected a share of Rs. 5.64 crores for the gross of Rs. 11.32 crores in 3 days. If the weekend turns out to be equally good, it will breakeven by the end of the first week.

The movie is expected to crash on first Monday while other Diwali releases like Thugs of Hindosthan, Adhugo have already crashed and are expected to be biggest disasters for the makers. Savyasachi couldn’t take any advantage of holidays.
