Thalapathy Vijay, Star Tamil actor and the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has spoken out against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in India. He strongly opposes the law, claiming that it damages a social peace among citizens. Vijay mainly asks the Tamil Nadu government to block the CAA’s implementation within the TN state, highlighting the need of protecting all residents’ rights.
Vijay also said on that he will not run in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, but rather in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, which are planned for two years from now. His approach shows an intent to address the issues of Tamil Nadu residents and push for their interests in politics.
Vijay hopes that by adopting strong opinions against the CAA and focusing on state-level politics, he may help defend citizens’ rights while also promoting inclusivity and peace in Tamil Nadu. His participation in the next elections demonstrates his commitment to supporting the people’s goals and pushing for their welfare on a regional level.
