Tamil superstar Vijay has set Hollywood abuzz as he collaborates with director Venkat Prabhu on his upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68.’ The duo is in Los Angeles, where groundbreaking 3D VFX scans of Vijay are being conducted at the renowned USC Institute for Creative Technologies, the same team that contributed to James Cameron’s masterpiece, ‘Avatar.’

This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as it’s the USC Institute for Creative Technologies’ first foray into Indian cinema. The institute boasts two prestigious Oscar Awards, underlining their expertise in the world of visual effects.

These state of the art tools creat it possible to digital replicas that are as real as the originals by recording and modelling how objects and people behave in various lighting scenarios. In films like “Spider Man 2,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Avatar,” “The Avengers,” “Maleficent,” “Furious 7,” and The Jungle Book.

‘Thalapathy 68’ promises to be an action-packed thriller, featuring Vijay in dual roles, including that of a RAW agent. The film’s narrative is expected to revolve around the intriguing dynamic between a father and his son.
