Writer Vijayendra Prasad has been able to achieve Pan-Indian success with his stories. He collaborated with Salman Khan for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and is in talks to collaborate with Aamir Khan for Mahabharat series of films. In Telugu, he mostly limited himself to his son, Rajamouli films lately and he is currently working on trimming down RRR to complete the shoot within the budget that the director initially planned.
Ram Charan and Jr. NTR are playing the characters of Alluri Seetharamaraju & Komaram Bheem, respectively in the film. Both the Telugu Freedom Fight warriors never met but they followed same ideology and combat techniques in their Movements. Hence, Rajamouli thought of bringing a fictional story involving them both on to the screens where they meet. To make it historically accurate, the team did lot of research and when they found out that both have four years of their lives missing at the same time, the team planned story around it.
Vijayendra Prasad in his recent interview said that the story is based on a thin thread. He agreed that there are many doubts regarding the film and its story but Rajamouli has come up with a screenplay, that will answer all of them, it seems. He exerted a lot of confidence in how the film has shaped up till now and said that they thought of reworking to get some details right and also to modify script to be able shoot scenes in this current situation. They did not trim the script that is locked, said the writer.
