Vijayashanthi thanks Krishna for her career!

One of the big Telugu actresses who managed to create a huge market for herself, Vijayashanthi made a re-entry into films with Sarileru Neekevvaru, aearlier this year. She acted in the film in a strong role with Mahesh Babu.

The actress did not agree to be part of many films after that but she said that she is always open to offers. As she completed 40 years of her career on 12th September, she thanked fans and Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala for her career.

She tweeted,

“నా మొదటి తెలుగు సినిమా కిలాడి కృష్ణుడు విడుదలై నేటికి 40 సంవత్సరాలు పూర్తయ్యాయి. ఈ నాలుగు దశాబ్దాల పయనంలో సహృదయతతో ఆదరించి, అనేకమైన అద్భుత విజయాలను, సమున్నతమైన స్థానాన్ని అభిమానులు, తెలుగు సినిమా ప్రేక్షకులు అందించారు.”

“నాకు తోడుగా నిలిచిన వారందరికీ మనస్ఫూర్తిగా నా ధన్యవాదాలు తెలియజేస్తూ నమస్కరిస్తున్న సందర్భం ఇది. నన్ను తెలుగు సినిమాకు పరిచయం చేసిన సూపర్‌స్టార్ కృష్ణ గారికి, ఆంటీ విజయనిర్మల గారికి మరోసారి కృతజ్ఞతలతో…”

(I would like to thank my fans, my well-wishers and my co-stars from Telugu Cinema for a wonderful 40 year career in Films. I started my journey with Khiladi Krishnudu film and Telugu people have given me lot of love and success over the years. I thank each one of them. Mainly, I would like to thank my Aunt Vijaya Nirmala and Superstar Krishna for introducing me to the screen.)

The actress made a huge impact on Telugu Cinema as a rebel with Osey Ramulamma, Karthavyam, Prathighatana films. As a glamour doll she made a huge name in films like Challenge, Kondaveeti Raja, Kondaveeti Donga and many more. She paired almost with every hero in Telugu Cinema till 1995 and she made hit pairs with Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna in 1980’s.
