Vijay Devarakonda is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Kingdom, which hits theatres on July 30. After the failures of Liger, Kushi, and The Family Star, he’s hoping for a strong comeback.
Recently rumours spread that Vijay was offered a key role in Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh. Earlier, actor Vikrant Massey was said to be playing the antagonist but fresh reports claimed Vijay had replaced him.
However sources close to Vijay confirmed that while he was approached by director Farhan Akhtar to play a negative role, he politely declined the offer due to personal reasons.
They added that Vijay isn’t interested in playing villain roles right now.
Even though Don 3 could have boosted his image in Bollywood especially after Liger’s failure, Vijay appears focused on other plans to expand his stardom beyond the South. He seems determined to carve his own path on his terms.
