It is already reported that noted Bollywood filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, who earlier directed Andhadhun is making a film in the combination of Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi and Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif. News also came out that this as-yet-untitled movie is going to have just 90 minutes duration.
Due to the Covid lockdown in 2021, the film’s shooting is halted earlier for a few months. Later, the film’s shooting commenced, and wrapped up the shoot formalities recently. Meanwhile, the latest news is that the team has locked ‘Merry Christmas’ as the film’s title.
Touted as a thriller, Sriram Raghavan earlier planned to release Merry Christmas during the Christmas 2022 festival season but due to delay in the shoot and post-production formalities, the release is pushed to 2023.
Apart from Merry Christmas, Vijay Sethupathi has a couple of Tamil and Telugu projects in the pipeline. As per the inside reports, director Sukumar is planning to rope in Vijay Sethupathi for a key role in Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa-2.
