Vijay Sethupathi Extends Support To Film Workers
The Tamil Nadu government has reinstated a housing scheme for film industry workers in Payyanur, Chennai, after initially canceling it due to construction delays.
FEFSI President RK Selvamani highlighted the need for housing, as many workers either rent or travel long hours daily.
The first phase will see 1,000 homes built, with actor Vijay Sethupathi donating Rs. 1.30 crore to support 250 workers.
In recognition, the first tower will be named after him, and more contributions are encouraged for the remaining towers.
