Vijay has announced his entry into politics and hinted that he might focus more on this new path than on films. He has launched his party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam, which was introduced last year. Today, he unveiled the party’s flag and symbol at their office in Chennai.
The party will compete in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections but will not participate in the upcoming Parliament elections.
Vijay also mentioned that the first official meeting will be held soon and he is dedicating significant time to building the party. The main goal of the party is to work for Tamil Nadu development.
A large rally is planned for the last week of September, marking the party’s first major event.
Several enthusiastic fans have joined the party and are actively participating in its activities. The Election Commission is expected to complete the party’s registration soon.
