He escalated to new highs with Geetha Govindam and the movie collections in 10 days are phenomenal and it is still not showing any signs if slowing down. The movie seems to be a sure shot Rs. 60 crore share earner, and this is huge for any medium budget film.

He even entered the 2 Million USD club that is more or less reserved for big stars. Even Nani couldn’t crack into the club being senior and more popular. Vijay seems to be escalating through with each and every hit of his. Expect for Dwaraka, all his films became blockbusters and he made sure that his name is known for anyone after Arjun Reddy, by launching his own clothing brand.

By delivering such a huge hit, he is now in the league of big stars but he needs to be consistent there. Once, he proves to be consistent with good films he may become the biggest box office sensation out there after Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh, NTR and Prabhas too. The interesting fact is that even they took time to grow so big but VD is making all right moves to sit besides them as soon as he can.
