Vijay Devarakonda Begins Shoot For Epic Period Drama

Vijay Devarakonda, who recently wrapped up Kingdom, has now started working on his next big film.

The project was kept on hold for some time even after the pooja ceremony, mainly because Vijay traveled to the USA and the shoot got delayed. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the movie’s budget has also been revised.

Finally the makers have kick-started the shoot today in Hyderabad. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine, and she will join the team a little later.

This movie was officially announced on May 9th, Vijay’s birthday, and is being planned on a grand scale. Set in the Rayalaseema region during the 19th century British era, the film is a period action drama.

Ranabhoomi is the title being considered. Produced jointly by T-Series and Mythri Movie Makers, the film has Vijay dedicating bulk dates to complete it at the earliest. The makers are aiming for a release next year.
