Vijay Devarakonda, after Arjun Reddy appeared as Anthony in Mahanati, and registered another hit, this time as the part of an ensemble. But his solo hero movie, Taxiwaala, after announcing a release date, had to go back on that due to delay in post-production works. In the meantime, Geetha Govindam, his other film is ready for release.
He posted the poster of Geetha Govindam on twitter and gave updates about his next films,
“Taxiwaala, Geetha Govindam and NOTA are all in various stages of completion.
All release dates to be announced soon. 1st update Starting today.”
Then he released the poster of Geeta Govindam, while mentioning the release date to be Independence Day.
He states in the poster that he is 25 years old and he is still a virgin.

So, the actor this time booked the Independence Day date and also, Arjun Reddy, a love story film said in a character-driven screenplay released during August last year. Now, he will be coming as Govindam who falls for lecturer Geetha. The film seems to have some edgy comedy to go with the traditional values. We have to wait and see, how will Parasuram, who made Solo, Anjaneyulu will fare this time.
