Vijay Antony’s Next to Lock Horns with Samantha’s Shaakuntalam

Noted Kollywood musician turned filmmaker cum actor Vijay Antony is working on a film titled, Bichagadu 2 is widely known. Said to be the second installment of the 2016 blockbuster, Bichagadu.

Meanwhile, in the evening hours of February 27th, an official announcement came out that Bichagadu 2 will hit the screens on April 14th. The announcement makes it clear that Bichagadu 2 will be locking horns with Samantha- Gunasekhar’s mythological drama, Shakuntalam which is also scheduled for a same date release.

A couple of days back Vijay Antony was injured on the sets of Bichagadu 2 while shooting for an action sequence in Malaysia, which is well-known news. Reportedly, Vijay Antony met with an accident and had severe injuries to several body parts. Soon after the incident happened, Vijay was rushed to a local hospital and is getting treatment, said sources. Meanwhile, in the evening hours of January, 23rd Vijay Antony took to Twitter and revealed his current state of health condition.”Dear friends, I am safely recovered from a severe jaw and nose injury during Pichaikkaran 2 shoot in Malaysia. I just completed a major surgery. I will talk to you all as soon as possible✋
Thank you for all your support and concern for my health❤️”, wrote Vijay Antony and shared a Thumps up a picture of his without revealing the face part.

Coming back to Bichagadu 2, the film is set in Dubai backdrop and Vijay Antony himself is directing the movie. Bichagadu 2 has ‘Anti Bikill’ as the tagline. Alongside Vijay Antony, Bichagadu 2 also has Kavya Thapar, Dev Gill, Harish Peradi, and Radha Krishnamoorthy in crucial roles. Vijay Antony himself is scoring soundtracks for the film. Fathima Vijay Antony is producing the film under Vijay Antony Film Corporation. The film’s Tamil title is locked as Pichaikaran 2.
