Venkatesh Daggubati who made Victory his surname in Telugu Cinema over the decades is fast approaching a landmark of 75 films as a lead actor. He debuted in movies with Kaliyuga Pandavulu way back in 1986 in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao produced by his Father Dr. Ramanaidu and Brother Suresh Babu. After a successful debut he got his first Nandi award for his heartfelt performance in Prema, directed by Suresh Krissna and went on to star in several remakes and lady oriented subjects.
He is one of the fabulous 4 from the 90’s generation of heroes who concentrated on mixing things up with each and every movie. The heroes battle for bigger hits and show off strength took a brutal turn in 2000’s but before that it was just subjected to fans who fought over the records. Venkatesh never involved his fans in these wars and he never really tried to bring some of his contemporaries down.
With this attitude he literally is only lead actor in Telugu Cinema that do not have many haters or hate clubs. He is gearing up for his next release, Guru, remake of Irudhi Sutturu that is finished and preparing for Adallu Meeku Joharlu in the direction of Tirumala Kishore.
Even though the actor is known for not giving landmarks that importance for his fans it would be a memorable gift. He did Nagavalli has his 50th film and now for 75th he has a choice between Puri Jagannadh’s action packed mass entertainer and Krrish Jagarlamudi’s socio-fantasy. The actor known for mixing things up has been in a dilemma as both the scripts or storylines were impressive to him. So on whose side will he fall on is an interesting thing to watch out!
