The teaser of “Chhaava“, featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, was released on August 14 and attached to the prints of “Stree 2“. The powerful teaser received a great response, increasing excitement for the film, which was firstly set to release on December 6th.
This date, however, would have clashed with “Pushpa 2” one of the most awaited films of the year. Now, it’s confirmed that “Chhaava” will not release on December 6th leaving “Pushpa” as the solo release on that day.
While Maddock Films the producers of “Chhaava” have not announced a new release date yet they are considering December 20th, January 10th, or even 2025 Feb.
A February release seems fitting since Shivaji Jayanti the birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj, is celebrated on February 19th.
The makers are debating between February 14 and February 21 as possible dates, as February 19th is a Wednesday.
It remains to be seen when “Chhaava” will finally hit theaters.
