As he promotes his forthcoming movie “The Great Indian Family” (TGIF) amid the Janmashtami celebrations, Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal is looking forward to celebrating Dahi Handi this year.

Vicky will perform at one of Mumbai’s largest Dahi Handi festivals, where he’ll get thousands of people moving to his most recent TGIF hit, “Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aaja.”

He said: “Growing up in Mumbai, Dahi Handi was more than just a celebration. It was all about the spirit, unity, and unbreakable bonds of the people. I always felt that the human pyramid formed to break the ‘Handi’ is a powerful metaphor for resilience and unity. This festival reflects India’s spirit.”

“I am beyond thrilled that this year, I get to be a part of that contagious vibe and celebrate it with such ardent kids,” he continued. This would undoubtedly transport me back to my early years, when I used to accompany my family to the neighbourhood Dahi Handi festival.

On September 22, the family film “The Great Indian Family,” which is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, will be released
