Vicky Kaushal In Talks To Portray Guru Dutt In Upcoming Biopic

Vicky Kaushal known for his powerful performances, may soon portray legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt in a biopic.

Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, which holds the rights to Guru Dutt’s films, is planning to recreate some of his iconic works as web series and also develop a biopic based on his life.

Rajat Agrawal, said they are in talks with renowned directors and are also in contact with Guru Dutt’s family.

While no final decision has been made, Agrawal believes Vicky Kaushal has the emotional depth to do justice to the role.

In honor of Guru Dutt’s 100th birth anniversary restored versions of his classic films were showcased at Cannes 2025.

A special tribute is also planned in July featuring film screenings, panel discussions and exhibitions celebrating the timeless legacy of Guru Dutt.
