Veteran actress Kamini Kaushal one of the earliest leading ladies of Hindi cinema has passed away at 98. Her career lasted more than 70 years.
She was last seen in Kabir Singh as Shahid Kapoor’s grandmother and had a small role in Laal Singh Chaddha.
From 1946 to 1963 she was a top heroine and acted in many classic films like Do Bhai, Shaheed, Ziddi, Shabnam, Godaan and many other films.
In the mid 1960s, she shifted to character roles and continued to impress audiences in impressive films.
Her death marks the end of a amazing golden chapter in Indian cinema. A family source said they are private and need peace at this time.
