Kollywood star Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual project, Sir. The film’s Tamil title is locked as Vaathi. Directed by Venky Atluri, Sir is slated to hit the screens on February 17th in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously.
A couple of days back news came out that the makers are planning to hold the film’s pre-release event on February 14th in Hyderabad. However, this afternoon the makers officially announced that the film’s pre-release event happen on February 15th. Reportedly, the event will take place at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road in the evening hours.
It is already reported that the film’s audio launch event happened in Chennai a few days back. As the release date is nearing the makers unveiled the film’s theatrical trailer a couple of days back. For the trailer launch event, hero Dhanush, and heroine Samyuktha Menon among others graced and interacted with the audience.
Going by the trailer, it is evident that the film revolves around the loopholes in the corporate education system and is set up in a rural backdrop. SIR/Vaathi is being bankrolled by young filmmaker Naga Vamsi under his Sithara Entertainments banner in association with Trivikram’s Fortune Four Cinemas banner. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer for this social drama.
