Venky Atluri is happy with the success of his film “Lucky Baskhar“, which has received praise from fans and critics.
Reflecting on his career, Venky spoke about his previous film “Vaathi” or “Sir”, which also became a box office hit. He shared how Dhanush joined the project when other actors turned it down.
According to director, many popular heroes wanted him to change the climax of “Vaathi”, but he refused to compromise.
As a result, they declined the film. Left with no choice, he approached Dhanush, who not only listened to the story but clapped and appreciated the unique ending.
Venky said, “Even I was surprised when Dhanush loved the climax and agreed to do the film.”
“Vaathi” was shot in both Tamil and Telugu and starred Dhanush, Samyuktha, and Samuthirakani. Released on February 17th 2023, it became one of the highest grossing Tamil films of the year.
