Venkatesh’s Adallu Meeku Joharlu adds another heroine!

Venkatesh is known as a family hero who is second to Sobhan Babu, in Telugu films. Sobhan Babu enjoyed a great female following after Akkineni Nageswara Rao as the lead actor. He defined glamour for hero on screen with his films and Venkatesh cleverly filled the gap created by his exit during the 90’s. While he was trying to establish a solid fan following for himself, his contemporaries Nagarjuna and slightly elder Balakrishna were going the mass audience route with films like Bobbili Simham and Shiva.

Releasing he needs to mix and match to continue his streak of successes he followed Chanti with Bobbili Raja and chose to do much more women centric films like Raja, Pelli Chesukundam and family oriented subjects like Surya Vamsam, Kalisundam ra. With these becoming big hits, even though he tried to change to more youth oriented subjects like Vasu and action oriented subjects like Gemini, he failed at the box office. Whenever he does a film with family values, he scored a hit like Sankranthi, Lakshmi, Seethamma Vakitlo Srimalle Chettu, Drishyam, Gopala Gopala. Continuing the tradition he has planned a movie with Tirumala Kishore after his Guru. As he wrapped up Guru, he is now preparing for Adallu Meeku Joharlu.

The film is said to be a comedy like Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav, set in the premise of Aaduvari Matalaku Ardhaleverule. The movie deals with a matured man falling in love with a young women. Nitya Menen is signed as the lead actress and she was asked to reduce a few kilos to look younger than she does. Latest is that, Tejaswi Madivada is added to the cast as the sister of Nitya Menen and as per few sources, she would also have a crush on Venky following the thread of Colors Swathi in AMAV, but in a more comic way. The pre production is almost done and the movie shooting will start from January.
