Senior actor Naresh always excels in every role he takes on, which is why young directors are creating great parts for him. He has also been involved in making popular content for streaming platforms. His latest OTT movie, “Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra”, where he plays the lead role, has just been released. Let’s find out how the movie is:

Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra Movie Story: Brahmanandam worked as a railway employee and bought a house in Goa with his retirement money, naming it Happy Home. After he passed away in 1962, his son Nageshwar Rao took over the family responsibilities. Nageshwar Rao worked as a math teacher in a private school in Vizag, but he was fired when the school switched to English medium because he didn’t know English well.

At the same time, his daughter Sarayu (Priya Vadlamani) was preparing to marry her love, but Nageshwar Rao struggled to find enough money for the wedding. His son Veeru (Rag Mayur) also left his job to start a new business, which Nageshwar Rao was unaware of. To meet the demands of Sarayu’s future in-laws for a grand wedding, Nageshwar Rao decides to sell the Happy Home in Goa without telling his mother (Sri Lakshmi). The rest of the story follows what happens next.

Performances: What can we say about Naresh’s performance? As usual, he brings great energy to any role. In this film, he convincingly plays Nageshwar Rao. He excels in comedy during the first half and delivers a touching performance as a struggling father in the second half, especially in the climax. Sri Lakshmi, who plays his mother, also stands out with her comedic timing and emotional depth.

Priya Vadlamani, known for her modern roles in previous movies, shows growth as an actress by playing a responsible daughter here. Rag Mayur gives a decent performance. Harshavardhan, as a deceitful doctor, adds some humor. The rest of the cast performs well too.

Technical Aspects: Director Anurag Palutla took a simple idea and made it engaging. He pays good attention to detail, giving each character a clear role, which helps the audience connect with them. The first half of the film is entertaining, though it slows down in some parts, it’s never boring. However, the second half shifts to a more emotional tone, which might feel slower compared to the first half.

Since this is an OTT movie, it still manages to get a pass mark. The cinematography is well done, but the background score is not very notable. The production quality matches the story well.

Analysis: “Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra” is an enjoyable OTT movie that blends entertainment with emotional moments. While the second half feels a bit slow, it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for something to watch this weekend.

Verdict: “Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra” is a blend of entertainment and emotion that holds its own as an OTT movie. The film starts strong with engaging content and lively performances, particularly from Naresh, who delivers both comedy and heartfelt moments effectively. The first half of the movie is entertaining, while the second half shifts to a more emotional tone, which might feel slower in comparison. Despite some pacing issues in the latter part, it’s a worthwhile watch for a weekend, offering a satisfying mix of humor and drama. Overall, it’s a good choice for those looking for a light yet touching film experience.

Bottom Line: A Good option for the weekend.
