Veerabhadrudu Movie Review & Rating!

With theatres struggling due to lack of big films, hopes were on Veerabhadrudu, starring Suriya. Though delayed by a day, it released on May 15th. Did this dubbed film meet expectations and impress audiences? Let’s find out.

Veerabhadrudu Story: Meenu, a girl from Tamil Nadu, comes to Hyderabad with her father for a major surgery. They bring gold to sell for money, but thieves steal it at the railway station. When they complain, police recover only part of it and ask them to go through court.

They approach lawyer Krishna, who keeps delaying the case for money. Frustrated, Meenu’s father prays to Veerabhadrudu for justice. The god appears and challenges the lawyer, then comes as a human lawyer named Surya to fight the case. Did he help Meenu? The rest of the story reveals it.

Performances: The film was promoted as a Suriya starrer, but his role turns out to be just an extended cameo, which may disappoint audiences. Trisha also has only a limited role. RJ Balaji gets the most screen time and focus, highlighting his own character.

The story begins with Indrans and Anagha, but they are sidelined later. However, Subramaniam gets a decent role after Maharaja.

Technical Aspects: The story has a strong and interesting idea, highlighting issues in the justice system and struggles of poor people. The first half works well with good social elements and a decent interval block.

However, the second half loses focus, ignoring the main character’s track and emotional depth. Suriya’s limited screen time is disappointing. Though the climax is decent, weak VFX and limited settings make the film feel technically average.

Analysis: With a title like Veerabhadrudu, audiences expect a mass and commercial film. Even the director promised something like Singam to Suriya fans. But the movie feels closer to his earlier film Ammoru Thalli, which may disappoint fans. However, for general audiences, it gives an average, okay experience.

Verdict: Veerabhadrudu has a good concept but misleading promotions and uneven narration make it just an average watch.

Bottom Line: Ends up as an average watch.
