Varun, Valmiki and a serious role

After doing a comedy role in F2- Fun and Frustration, actor Varun Tej is all set for a serious role in his upcoming film Valmiki, which is an official Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster hit Jigarthanda.

The actor was in the US for last two months where he underwent an intense training for getting a leaner look. The actor shared a raw look of himself and it is just a glimpse of how his look in the film is going to be. He is also seen with a pierced ear too. The actor has begun shooting for his upcoming film Valmiki and shared the news on his social media accounts like Twitter. From a comedy role, he will now be seen in a super serious role.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the film is a Telugu remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda. This film will also have Tamil actor Atharva and this will mark his debut in Telugu cinema. The film will be produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner
