At the “Matka” pre-release event, Varun Tej shared his thoughts on family and how failures affect him. He said, “I feel worried when my films don’t do well at the box office”.
“My brother Ram Charan called me at 6:30 AM. He didn’t have to but he is always there to support me emotionally and I’m grateful for that. Chiranjeevi garu and Pawan Kalyan garu are always close to my heart”.
He also added, “Some people question why I often mention Chiranjeevi garu and Pawan garu, but it’s my right”.
“No matter the success, one should remember where they started and who supported them. If you forget that, success loses its meaning. Chiranjeevi garu, Pawan garu, and my father will always be there for me”.
Varun’s remarks seemed to subtly reference Allu Arjun, making an unusual, direct comment toward him.
