Varun Tej Konidela, who has been playing lead roles so far, picked a role with grey shades in his last release Gaddalakonda Ganesh. The film, which is a Telugu remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda dominated the box office in the Telugu speaking states and in international circuit. Now, the actor has kickstarted his upcoming film, which is based on boxing sport. The film, directed by Kiran Korrapati, went on floors today (February 24) with a customary pooja on the film sets. Along with the Pooja, the makers also announced the film’s release date to be July 30, 2020. Sharing a photo from the set, Varun Tej wrote, “Back to sets! Day 1 in vizag.. Need all your love! (sic)”

Varun Tej will essay the role of a boxer in the film and the actor has taken boxing lessons in US to portray his role with perfection. After a crash course in the US, the Fidaa actor returned to Hyderabad and continued with his training sessions over a period of six months. He also took spent maximum time at the gym getting his body in shape. The latest development regarding this u titled film is the addition of Bollywood actress Saiee Manjrekar. The untitled boxing film is jointly produced by Allu Arvind, Sandeep Mudda & Allu Bobby. Along with Varun Tej, the film has got top-class technicians namely, SS Thaman and cinematographer George C Williams.
