Varun Tej with Appatlo Okadundevadu director

Varun Tej has started off his career with films like Mukunda and Kanche. He promised that his films will be more about him being an actor than a star. He decided to accept such films only but the disasters like Mister and Loafer, took his box office credibility down. Thanks to the film like Fidaa, it gave him a huge boost as a box office hero. He did not tame the complete potential yet, but the movie became a huge blockbuster and he got a name of being new lover boy in Telugu Cinema.

Acting on that image, he did a film like Tholiprema. The movie helped him establish his own market, as it further helped his cause as a lover boy hero. The movie became a big hit in February and the actor cemented his place as a box office actor from Megastar’s Family. Now, he is trying to keep up to the promise of his earlier films. Trying different films from regular that can work at the box office.

He already accepted a space thriller with director, Sankalp Reddy. For the film, he is going to Bangkok for training as an astronaut. The movie will start shooting in April. Recently, the actor gave his nod to the film with director, Sagar Chandra. The young director impressed critics with his movie Appatlo Okadundevadu, starring Nara Rohit and Vishnu. The movie will start from later half of 2018 and 14 Reels Entertainment will produce the movie.
