Varun Tej has addressed the controversy surrounding Korean Kanakaraju. During a media interaction he clarified that the team never intended to hurt or insult anyone.
He said the controversial episode was shot in November last year and was only an imitation nut not an insult to any actor.
Varun also reminded that several popular actors have been imitated in his previous films. The promotional content had sparked criticism on social media with some viewers objecting to certain scenes.
Varun requested audiences not to judge the film based on a few promotional clips. Korean Kanakaraju had its paid premieres last night and is receiving a positive response.
Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi while the film also stars Sunil, Ritika Nayak and Satya.
