In both the movies Varalakshmi has got prominent characters. Jayamma in Krack, Aadhya in Naandhi were etched well and have been crucial to the successes of the films. Varalakshmi plays a negative role in Krack and a positive character in Naandhi.

Varalakshmi is yet to sign another Telugu film. However, she has been doing a couple of Kollywood movies and a Kannada film as well.
