Producer Vamsi Nandipati one of the backers of Sampradayani Suppini Suddapoosani, recently issued a public apology after his comments about actress Laya sparked controversy.
During a media interaction he spoke about her multiple Nandi Awards and made a comparison that many people felt was disrespectful to the awards legacy.
As criticism grew everywhere Vamsi quickly clarified that he never intended to insult anyone.
He said he was only repeating something he had heard before and that he deeply respects the Nandi Awards. He also apologized without fail if his words hurt sentiments.
He also said that his focus is only on making good films. This incident also shows how careful public figures must be with their words.
