US rights of Om Namo Venkatesaya sold for 6 crores!

Akkineni Nagarjuna is on a success spree at this moment. His last films at US box office Manam, Soggade Chinni Nayana and Oopiri all have been highly successful and gained huge profits. In fact he is the only senior hero to have two films in 1.5 million dollar club.

Trusting his form and judgement, a leading distribution company has picked up the US distribution rights for telugu, tamil and hindi dubbed versions of Om Namo Venkatesaya for a whopping price 6 crores. Considering the genre of the film, the price is high and the film needs to perform really well to break even. Has the previous devotional films of Nagarjuna and Raghavendra Rao combination Annamayya,Sri Ramadasu worked magic at the US box office this movie is also expected to do the same.

Anushka will be seen in the role of Krishnamma in this period devotional drama along with Vimala Raman, Pragya Jaiswal and Sourabh Raj Jain as Lord Venkateswara. Nagarjuna will be seen as Hathiram Baba, the man who is said to have played dice with the Lord and the man behind all the rituals and practices at Tirumala.

The film is nearing completion and the last shot will be canned in November. The film is slated for a Sankranthi release!
