The second installment of Mani Ratnam’s period drama, Ponniyin Selvan-2 aka PS-2 is gearing up for April 28th release. The film is carrying good expectations among the public.
Bookings-wise, PS-2 USA Bookings have already started to open two weeks before premieres. Massive release with many IMAX, XD, 4DX, and other premium large format screens allocated.
Reports suggest that already a good note-booking trend in other overseas countries so far where shows have opened up PS2. The film is a visual presentation of legendary Tamil author Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel of the same title. AR Rahman is the music composer for the film. Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions bankrolled the prestigious project.
Legendary Kollywood filmmaker Mani Ratnam is currently busy with post-production activities for the second part of the soon-to-be-released period drama, Ponniyin Selvan which he took as the most ambitious project. Starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Shobita Dhulipala among others in prominent roles.
As the first installment of this period drama went on to become the biggest blockbuster in Kollywood the hype around the second installment is very high among moviegoers.
