Mythri Movie Makers have been one of the busiest film producers of TFI from past five years. They have decided to make medium budget films from second half of 2018 after Rangasthalam but only Chitralahari succeeded for them to some extent. Hence, they have decided to collaborate with Sukumar for few films and first of one them was with him as another producer, Uppena. Panja Vaishnav Tej, brother of Sai Tej, is debuting with the movie.
Movie had to release on 2nd of April but the pandemic forced producers to postpone it. There have been many rumours about an OTT release but now, we hear that the movie producers are looking for January, release. Seems like they have given up on theatres opening anytime this year and there are still good 5 months to go in the year. We have to wait for the official confirmation on the release date but most probably, producers want to wait till people are ready to enjoy movies like before at the theatres. Kirti Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi are part of the cast of this Buchi Babu directorial. Devi Sri Prasad composed music for the film.
