Upasana Konidela’s grand father passes away

Upsana Konidela expressed deep grief as her grand father K. Umapathy Rao passed away on 27th May. He was unwell from past few days and breathed his last on Wednesday.

She took to Instagram and shared a long post about Umapathy garu and said that her family lost a pillar of support. She also said that her family will miss the great man dearly.

She further wrote,

“An Urdu Poet know for his Shayari & the first Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam was a strong believer in the religion of kindness & generosity. Our grandfather was a man of great principles, selflessness, generosity & sense of humor. His rich long life, achievements & many acts of kindness will be celebrated & remembered by all. Our humble request is for all of you to show your love with a smile rather than tears.Give us the strength to make his journey peaceful.

Umapathy garu was born in 1928 at Damarakota Fort and served as an IAS officer in Independent India. He was the first E.O – Executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
