Sruthi Haasan met with press yesterday to share her happiness about the success of Premam. Movie starring Naga Chaitanya, Sruthi Haasan, Anupama Parameshwaran and Madonna Sebastian directed by Chandoo Mondeti became a super hit at the box office for Dussehra.
The movie achieved this success by fighting with four more releases. While Sunil ‘s Eedu Gold Ehe became a disaster from the first day first show, Jaguar and Devi ended being flops after a weekend. Mana Oori Ramayanam by Prakash Raj remained a good effort without making any box office noise. The first week collections of Premam are highest first week collections in Naga Chaitanya’s career.
With movie going strong in the second weekend too, Sruthi seemed elated with audience accepting her in a lecturer role. Even though there were many trolls when teasers and trailer released, the movie made a difference in the perception of the viewers. Sruthi in her interaction shared that she liked the original and approached the remake with the fresh mind.
She further added that it was fun working with her long time friend Naga Chaitanya. As she achieved successes with remakes she joked that she had become a Remake Queen! She shared her excitement about being a part of her father’s Sabhash Naidu and exclaimed it was like going to school and learning all the languages as they are making a trilingual. The shoot of the movie is still going on. She shared her excitement in sharing the screen space with Suriya after Seventh Sense. She said her role in Singham 3 will be something to look out for her fans!
