Eetha, starring Shraddha Kapoor, is scheduled to release in theatres on August 28th, 2026. Directed by Laxman Utekar and the film is based on the life of legendary Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar.
Actress Ulka Gupta plays Vithabai’s close friend, Gajra in the film. According to reports, Shraddha and Ulka will perform a grand Lavani dance face off, which is expected to be one of the film’s biggest highlights.
Both actresses reportedly spent several days rehearsing for the special sequence. The movie has also sparked controversy with Vithabai’s family and some political leaders demanding a title change from Eetha.
However the team have not issued any official statement yet. The film also features Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Anant Joshi in much important roles.
