Twitterati asks for the arrest of Akshay Kumar’s director

Sajid Khan has become famous for his TV program that criticised new releases and ranked them, on National TV. He became famous as a comedian post that and he decked to become a director after his sister, Farah Khan, choreographer turned into a director. He became a close friend of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and actor Akshay Kumar. Both of them helped him become a director with Heyy Baby and the movie became a big hit. Post that he launched Housefull franchise with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh as permanent cast members.

After his Himmatwala and Humshakals failed, the director was dropped from directing Housefull films. He even had issues with Akshay. But they both buried the hatchet for Houseful 4. Before he could start shooting, #MeToo India movement took over the social media and many Bollywood actors, directors got accused of forcing themselves on to women. Sajid Khan faced allegations from multiple women and he got replaced from the project. On 11th September, a model named Dimple Paul alias Paula alleged that Sajid Khan asked her to strip for him when she was 17 during an audition. She said that she couldn’t come out with the story earlier or complaint to police out of fear of social judgement and lack of any support.

Twitterati started trending #ArrestSajidKhan after her statements. The writer-director has been completely away from public eye ever since the #MeToo allegations were made against him in 2018.
