Kangana Ranaut did not use her social media account on Twitter until recently and her PR used to give all the updates. As her long term manager and sister, Rangoli Chandel’s account got suspended, she took over Team Kangana handle and started sharing updates and reactions to public matters on her own.
Known for her eccentricity and “Right” leaning ideology, many felt she could come under the strict radar of Twitter guidelines any time. After US ex-president Donald Trump’s rants on Twitter, the social media platform has decided to strictly prohibit any kind of hate mongering or abusive tweets on their platform. Recent Kangana post has come under serious violation of the rules if Twitter and hence, her account got suspended earlier today.
Kangana Ranaut reacted on her account suspension by saying, “Twitter has only proved my point they’re Americans & by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do. I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice, including my own art in the form of cinema.”
She further expressed her dissatisfaction and concern about “censorship” that people face in general, “But my heart goes out to the people of this nation who have been tortured, enslaved, and censored for thousands of years, and still, there is no end to the suffering.”
Well, many regular users on Twitter expressed happiness about her account suspension and pleaded Twitter authorities to never revoke her suspension. On the other hand, her fans started petition to revoke the suspension and are even tagging Government officials on social media platforms to interfere in this matter.
