With the GHMC elections ahead, the TRS government has released the manifesto. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has released the promises at the TRS Bhavan in Hyderabad. It is known that the elections will be held on December 1, 2020.
KCR has announced some good news to Tollywood which is struggling to cope up with the losses incurred with the pandemic. The Chief Minister has given permission to reopen theaters with 50 percent occupancy. He has also promised to waive off the minimum power charges for the theaters during the period March-October.
He has also given permission for flexible ticket pricing which has been already in practice in states like Maharashtra and Karnataka. In the manifesto, there has been another good news to waive off the GST for the movies that are made below with an Rs. 10 Cr budget. For this to happen, the entire movie should be shot in Telangana.
These are certainly some good promises made by the TRS government and Tollywood is welcoming the act.
