Trouble Brews For Nayanthara’s Wedding Documentary

The Madras High Court has once again taken up the case involving a documentary about actress Nayanthara’s wedding.

The controversy started because a few clips from the movie Chandramukhi were used in the documentary without permission.

AP International, which owns the rights to Chandramukhi, filed a lawsuit asking the makers to remove the footage and also demanded Rs. 5 crore in compensation. They also mentioned that even after sending a notice earlier, no action was taken.

Meanwhile, Dark Studio, which produced the wedding documentary, stated that discussions were ongoing about the usage of the footage.

However, AP International argued that no such discussions had happened and claimed that the makers had not even filed a formal reply yet.

The case was presented before Judge Senthilkumar. After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge gave Dark Studio time until October 6 to file its response. The hearing was adjourned to that date.
