Trade Talk: These three movies to hit the screens during Sankranthi season

A couple of weeks back we had reported that the makers of Bangarraju starring Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Ramya Krishna and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles has high chances to release during the upcoming Sankranthi season. But later news came out that as Rajamouli’s RRR, Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam and Pawan Kalyan-Rana’s Bheemla Nayak are slated to hit the screens during the same season, the makers of Bangarraju have dropped the Sankranthi release plans.

Meanwhile, the latest we hear from trade circles is that Bangarraju is very much in the race to release during Sankranthi season. On the other hand, though the makers of Bheemla Nayak have been repeatedly announcing that the film will be out on January 12th, the talk among distributors is that Bheemla Nayak’s release will be pushed to January 26th and only RRR, Radhe Shyam and Bangarraju will hit the screens during the festival season.

Being directed by Kalyan Krishna, Bangarraju is a spin-off to the 2016 Sankranthi blockbuster, Soggade Chinni Nayana. Anup Rubens is the music composer. Zee Studios in association with Annapurna Studios banner is bankrolling this rural entertainer.
