Trade Talk: Solid start for Brahmastra

Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s fantasy drama, Brahmastra has hit the screens yesterday. Opened to below-par reports, the film has managed to collect big at the ticket windows.

Reportedly, Brahmastra Hindi version alone in North belt collected approximately Rs 32 crore and the India wide nett collection is estimated to be Rs 36 crore. Reports suggest that Brahmastra has created non-holiday record among original Hindi films on its opening day and breathed a ray of hope among the Bollywood circles. In twin Telugu states also, Brahmastra Telugu version reported decent occupancy in a few B and C centers yesterday.

At the overseas box office, on its first day( Friday), Brahmastra collected a massive of $1 million and the figure is expected to be even more by taking Thursday premieres collection into consideration. Overall, Brahmastra had a excellent start and will it continue the same momentum further? Remains to be seen.
