Trade Talk: PS-1 to have a good start at the Telugu box office

The first part of legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project, Ponniyin Selvan, titled, PS-1 is slated to hit the screens on September 30th. Along with Tamil, the film will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages.

The film is carrying good buzz among the Tamil audience and the film is expected to take the Tamil Nadu box office by a strom with the openings. On the other hand, the pre-bookings for the film’s Telugu version are below-par a couple of days back. But the latest reports suggest that the buzz for PS-1 in Hyderabad and other cities in Andhra is gaining momentum. If the same trend continues, the film will definitely have a good start at the Telugu box office also.

Starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobita Dhulipala among others in key roles, the advance scales for PS-1 across the USA and countries like Australia and Malaysia are strong as well.
