Trade Buzz Lifts ‘AGADHA’ Toward Global Rollout

Super natural drama ‘AGADHA’ has locked its global theatrical release for August 14, with trade circles noting significant momentum across territories.

The trailer’s reception has been overwhelmingly positive, drawing interest from multiple distributors. Director M. S. Raju, however, has chosen to proceed with a self‑release through Geetha Arts and Annapurna Studios, a decision that underscores his confidence in the film’s box‑office potential.

In the United States, Moksha Movies initially planned a rollout across 14 screens. After previewing the film, the distributor expanded the release to 140 screens, a move widely seen as a strong endorsement of its theatrical appeal.

Distribution in the Telugu states will be managed through Geetha Arts and Annapurna Studios’ exhibition networks. Karnataka audiences will see the film released by V.K. Films, a company linked with Hombale Films, while Tamil Nadu distribution will be overseen by the respected S Pictures.

The trailer has positioned ‘Agadha’ as a visually ambitious supernatural drama, marked by a reverse chronological narrative, extensive CGI, and a haunting score that has heightened audience anticipation.

Featuring Kamakshi Bhaskarla of ‘Polimera’ fame and Shravan Reddy of ‘Dirty Hari’, the film is written and directed by M. S. Raju, produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under the Sri Adi Varaha Productions banner, and presented by Ajay KR.

With distribution secured across major markets and promotions entering their final phase, Agadha is set for a grand worldwide release on August 14, aiming to capture Independence Day audiences with its mystical spectacle.
